Rule of thumb: Any mention of "the twisties" marks the speaker as someone who cannot drive, and presumably also ride.

It's like the Godwin's Law of motor vehicles.

Pray tell, then, what should we call windy roads. I too hate when bandwagoning ex-street drag racers say "the twisties" (worseare "grip" and "touge"). What is the official NoisyCricket verbage?

it said I was right down the middle and defaulted to Harley. I currently own a 82 Honda 450, 89 Honda NX125, and an 06 Yamaha YZ250 2 stroke. I just sold my 98 YZF600 and am shopping for a new bike.

Your result for The Motorcycle Personality Test ... Yamaha YZF R1

You scored 6 moxie, 9 zeal, and 4 pomp!

Yamaha YZF R1 You're addicted to speed, but have the knowledge and experience to match. Although you like to win, you don't really care so much about competing with others as much as competing with yourself.

Your bike is the Yamaha YZF R1. Given how easily the rear wheel on this beast spins up coming out of turns, it is fortunate that you constantly work to improve your skills. (I've seen more R1s crash at track days than any other bike.)

It was a close decision with the Suzuki GSXR1000, but your personality seemed a bit more R1-ish. (But hey, I could be wrong. Its only a silly test.)

    Huh.....I'm looking at a SV650 for my next ride....currently ride a Kaw 500R

Another FJ1300...I have 11 bikes, and none of them are close to the FJ.

    FJR1300???

Not me, dude. I love riding them, but they are all nerd, no flash. I would rather ride 500 miles with a sore ass on a Dyna than ride comfy and posh on an sport tourer.

I did my own test, but I'll make a separate thread.

Screw the test, I ride a 1997 Ducati 900SS/SP. Great bike, fits me perfectly. Have put several 600+ mile days on it without a problem. I like the "twisties". Life is to short to spend it going only in a straight line. :-)

    cheers.

These guys think I need a Yamaha FJR-1300, not too far off what I own now I guess.

I got 4 on Moxie, 6 on Zeal and 2 of 10 on Pomp.

They think I need the same bike. Since I'm somewhere (personally) between a Harley-Davidson and a Buell, I'll take that.

    I got a 1, 8, and 0 respectively.

    No love for the VFR-750?

The V-4 was just about perfect, the handling was capable of embarrassing some "real" sport bikes and it was comfortable for all-day travel. I rode one for 8yrs and 50k+ trouble free miles. Thats about 22 sets of tires :)
