    Naturally, I fell down the rabbit hole after posting that video, and found some NZ events. According to the narrator, the boats are pushing 800 hp So yes, a mere 185 hp would be like a tricycle in the middle of a bunch of sport bikes. But you'd be lighter, too...

    How about a homemade 'Jet Lev'? The real one uses a 200hp engine, I'm sure 185hp would work just fine.
