Here is the issue. My Wife has a friend who is a teacher also. She had a set of twins, with the same name, in first grade about 3 years ago. Here in Maryland. Would I trust her, yes. Do I think she is repeating a story, yes.
My info is not an internet search, my info is I have heard the same exact story as you, a few years and a few hundred miles apart. My search just shows that the exact story is being told all over the US.
I bet if you ask your friend again, she didn't have them, but knows of someone that did... etc. etc. etc.
All I am saying is, it is an urban legend. If you don't believe the other 6 sets are real, why is the pair from Georgia real? You say it is possible there is one set of twins with those names, I agree. Which pair? Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Kansas, Richmond, Tennessee, or Michigan?
Here is how I heard the story, see if it is close to how you heard it.
She has a set of twins in her class that are named lemonjello and orangejello, pronounced le'MONGello and O'RAANGello. When she asked the mother about the names she says it is because Orange Jello and Lemon Jello are her favorite foods.
Close? Almost verbatim?
That is how I heard it in Maryland. You say it is in Georgia, Are you now calling my friend a liar, like you think I am calling yours? Are you now stepping on toes also?
So which is it? Snopes did not check the Baltimore County school records too?
