Or mp3 player. regardless, whats your favorite songs/albums to listen to while cruisin? Some of my favorites "life in the fast lane" eagles, "ace of spades" motorhead, "100 in a 55" pop evil, pretty much all Foo Fighters and Tool... all depends on the mood, road, ect, but theres the start to a list. So lets hear it GRMers, what do you listen to on cruise nights, road trips, or rallys?

I like a fairly eclectic mix, so recently played on the iPod are Rev. Horton Heat, Southern Culture on the Skids, Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper, Dick Dale, Primus, Rush, Les Claypool, The Bloodhound Gang, Glenn Miller, Type O Negative, Marylin Manson, Count Basie, Beastie Boys, Van Halen, the Stones and, of course, Maiden.

Some 80s one hit wonders and hair bands mixed in with some Gap Band, James Brown, Rick James, Talking Heads and B-52s. I'll admit it, there's a few disco tunes in the mix too. What's odd is that I didn't like a lot of what I listen to now when it was new.

I used to just listen to the radio or the engine when driving. But lately I've been trying out the Peugeot's 10-stacker. Loaded in the trunk at the moment is some old-school hip hop (mostly A Tribe Called Quest), and also The 101'ers, which was Joe Strummer's band before the Clash.

I got a little bit of everything on the mp3 player, but it is mainly pop for me. My current list is Sophie Ellis Bextor, Metric, Garbage, Sarah Brightman.

Rob Zombie's entire collection (including the White Zombie years), Ozzy's entire solo collection (listening to "Secret Loser" makes me want to build a Wraith movie car clone), the entire Alice In Chains collection, a couple pre-Hot Topic era goth compilation albums (The Art of Darkness is excellent), Probot, and a mix of 90s alternative rock.

There's also about 15 different podcasts I listen to every week (like Muppet Cast, Greaseman, BBC Friday Night Comedy Show, This American Life, 60 Minutes, PRI Selected Shorts, and the News from Lake Wobegon).

Lately, I have been listening to T-Pain's Thr33 Rings pretty good, IMHO...but I listen to everything.

(I am from West Michigan, the home of Pop Evil, and 100 in a 55 gets so much play time on local radio that I cannot listen to it anymore...)

    Audiobooks.

Seriously, they make a long solo drive just melt away. I've been from Colorado to California and Atlanta in the last month, most of that driven solo.

Otherwise, the 80 GB iPod gets set on "shuffle". I call it the world's greatest DJ. When I pick the tracks, I've been hitting Conjure One up quite a bit recently. Other faves are the Planet Smashers, Girl Talk, Delerium and Inspecter 7.
