I keep trying to justify an E-reader but just can't do it :(... I LOVE the concept... and for some people they really make sense...
I keep trying to justify one... I start back at school next semester... I tried to use that to justify one but for school books there is no way I'd want an E-book... they aren't THAT much cheaper (can buy REAL used books cheaper on amazon then I can get the kindle version) and when i'm done can sell them back...
on a side note... sounds like Kindle may have made the big turn... this was posted a year or 2 ago and it seemed the Sony was the way to go because of how open it was to different formats and non DRM crap

Nook and Kindle use the same e-ink screen. Nook is touchscreen which the wife liked so she could "swipe" to turn pages vs having to hit hard buttons (which it also has); I don't know if the Kindle is still non-touchscreen. On the issue of format, Nook is ePub, Kindle is mobi, and Calibre will convert one to the other.
