Weird! That same Kroger had zero beef broth but tons of chicken broth...

Good to hear you were able to overcome your fear. Keep calm and carry on
I now have a file with 62 pages worth of traveling documentation that I am supposed to carry with me showing that I am an essential worker and permitted to travel.
WTF???

Odd, I just got a 1 page "hall pass" if/when I need to go anywhere for work.

Same.
I just moved to working from home mostly. I have to go in order to prep samples for testing and put together prototypes if needed. But my boss asked that unless I am using machining equipment to come in on off hours if possible.

I just went to the international market and got some rice noodles, they had plenty of stock in most things.
Rice noodles are good imo, these gluten free ones were made of like.....arrowroot, tapioca and other not great stuff.
Unpleasant in every way possible
Ever have vegan muffins?
They were so bad, she decided she would have to sacrifice her beliefs a little, because ain't nobody enjoys a vegan muffin.

My neighbor got a 1 page "hall pass" saying he is allowed to cross police lines, trespass on any land including govt, disobey any law enforcement orders to move, etc. As long as he is working on the railroad. Yes, he is a locomotive tech, but still the hall pass is funny in all the rules he'd be allowed to break in the name of fixing a train.

Yep, That's what I got too.
Side note: We're set to ship on Monday three pieces of equipment (we've RUSHED through the shop) that directly support the manufacturing of N-95 face masks. It feels good to contribute, even in such a minor way, to help fight this Berking Pandemic.
Any of you essential folks actually getting stopped by the police to check?
One of my engineers told me his brother was driving to work on Tuesday. Car changes lanes and hit the brother's truck and took off. He chased them (yeah, stupid) and the car his another driver. The brother and the other driver boxed them in and called 911. 4 cruisers show up. Kid driving had no insurance, no license and the car was not in his name. They told the victims to call their insurance, gave the kid his state ID back and let him go.

I have not been stopped, but then I haven't seen that much of a decrease in traffic here.

Wow. That's no bueno.
I have heard reports of lowered enforcement, but that's beyond the pale - "Let him go" as in essentially told the kid to DRIVE WITHOUT A LICENSE? Sigh.
I got nothing. Work said to show my company ID badge that is supposed to be on the list of essential business if I get stopped/pulled over. Like I want to do that in the first place everyday.
side note, was looking for more odoban because of sick cat to clean laundry with it at Lowe's or HD. Holy E36 M3, went to two stores each across from town if each other and they were blown out. Worse part was the stores were PACKED.
The last few days has looked like Mad Max in our neighborhood. All the kids are out riding mini-bikes, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, etc. Our house sits on the corner of a 4 way stop close enough to an elementary school that I can see the playground from my porch.
I really don't want to see some kid splattered through the intersection because they don't stop, look, or anything and just blow through it. And many people in cars do as well.

Don't worry, the cops in Canada are just as useless. They are actually pulling over stock new cars like porches, Subarus, muscle cars, ect and giving them vehicle inspection notices for "too loud exhausts". Again these are factory stock vehicles. Meanwhile burglaries are up 400% in vacant businesses.
Tax and extort, business as usual.
Meanwhile we are seeing who is actually important in our society, doctors, truckers, cashier's, paramedics, firemen, ect.
I spent about an hour today working on a ICU door to a negative pressure room inside the COVID-19 isolation ward at one of the hospitals. That's a pretty creepy feeling.
Pretty sure there is zero chance I don't get this eventually.
Still not panicking.
In reply to Toyman01 (Forum Supporter) :
Mrs NOHOME works in that room.( Or one like it) There is a good reason for that door to be working. Thank you for fixing it.
Just driving past the hospital nowadays creeps me out, forget going inside.

Dang. I work for the RR too, and mine's no where near as generous. To be fair, I'm in passenger trains, and yesterday, as an example, we moved a -total- of just over 1000 passengers. That's about 5 pct of the normal daily volume.
I don't want to get banned, so I won't post a link to the article, but apparently a gentleman's club in Oregon called Lucky Devil lounge is offering home delivery of food with a little show 6 feet from your front door after they deliver the food.
I'll mark that under good corona virus news....
-Rob
Just saw on the new the Governor of Georgia didn't know how bad Coronavirus really is, didn't know it was "that" contagious...
WTH is going on over there??
I just got a piece of paper too. Sheriff follows me around too annoyingly.
Also our sheriff thinks that stay at home warning are destroying the Constitution and people should be allowed to go to church.
Pentagon can call up retired military.
If you want know when it's time to panic it is when you see me post
"I'VE BEEN DRAFTED!"
Because if they call me back, it's bad, real bad.
