I'm sorry... was there something I implied by pasting the definition of the word according to Webster? I think you are probably an over sensitive ninny who is, in fact, implying his own superiority by saying that its wrong to use the word RETARD in any form or fashion.
The word RETARD is the softer more PC word for IDIOT, which was put in to place by those who felt IDIOT was too strong a word when (presumably) 6th graders were overusing it as an insult. What do you call that thing you do when your distributor is too far advanced? Go on, its ok. You can say it. No one will think you are exhibiting an air of superiority.
I'm not the one trying to justify using the word. I'm assuming you are posting the definition so you can feel better about any word.
So as long as it gives you an air of superiority, keep justifying and using it.
Good luck with that.

Roger, will do. Wait... what if I'm not getting that "air". Hmmm... okokok I know!
I will continue to refer to people who do silly things like over-tighten a bolt because they forgot the golden "righty-tighty/lefty-loosy" rule as retards but... in order to not offend ninny-types who might overhear, I'll spell it RETAHD and pronounce it as Reeeeetaaaahhhhhhdzzz to further distinguish it from any negative connotation. I will try to feel superior but I don't think it's as necessary.
As a result of your obviously enlightened sensibility I think I've changed for the better. Thank you.
