I could see that thing ice racing around on Lake Mendota and the college kids looking at you funny from the terrace. I love it.

When I ice raced a SAAB 96 there was a guy with a 50s dirt track car, reminds me of the LeFrance. One gear, no transmission just an in & out stick, open cockpit, open wheels. They pushed him to the start and he popped it into gear. Luckily it was a rolling start. He tickled his way around the corners very tenatively, but on a straight! Hoooowaaaahhhh!!! Two roostertails of ice chips and he would pass the pack, then on the next ticklish corner he would get passed. Interesting stuff.

I swore that the Cortina was going to be my last build, but there's something about a 6000 lb. 4-wheeled motorcycle that I can't resist.

I think I remember that car. Problem was, it was set up to turn left and most of the corners were to the right.

I didn't know it was set up for anything, but that guy's got bigger nads than me. AND a thicker snowmobile suit!

Now that's a car to make my heart go pitter-patter.

It looks like none of use will be able to buy this thing; no one won the Powerball last night.

That's pretty cool, but there are many cars that are higher up my dream list, if I hit the lotto tonight!

    Here's my obsession for today:

"Reminds me of a GRM version of Lenos' Blastolene car" Perfect analogy.

    yup, I agree

Me as well. If I had the coin, I'd click that BIN button without reservation.

14.5 liters... 820 c.i.... what's not to love? I wonder if it would be eligible for vintage racing...

Impractical, hard to get parts for, too big, too noisy and too expensive.

    Gotta have it!

    You forgot: way to dangerous

I'd make a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car out of it for my kids. Chris Rummel

I got 5 bucks says that if it isn't already eligible, they'd make an exception on the spot.

There's something about its purity of form that just grabs ya right by the boo-boo. Oh! the exposed chain drive! It invites poetry.

if I had the coin I would buy that then actually bother to clean out the garage so it wouldn't have so sit out in the snow when I wasn't impersonating the likes of Stirling Moss or Juan Manuel Fangio. yes, I am 16, and I know who those chaps are. the world is not in fact ending just yet
