I was looking at some information today and realized something rather odd:

It is easier to find a sub $150.00 17x9" wheel to fit a Mk IV Jetta that one that will fit a GEN3 Camaro.

Really!

its the offset. all the 17" stuff in the old school non 7"+ backspace rims is made by good companies that charge a lot for their wheels.

i bet you could get cragar soft 8's in the correct fit

If the car ends up at CasaMofo I will likely buy some bolt on adapters and run the offset/design I want (XXR 552 in chromium black)

grrr

Yeah, its nuts. And the adapters are insanely expensive, too. On my challenge project, I just gave up and went with a mix of Z28 and IROC 16" wheels. Looking for a set of cheap GTA wheels, but noone's letting them go at a good price.

If you think the Camaro is bad, try looking for wheels for an E30... I had no idea the choices would be so few...
