That only works if you have DT's in the first place.

    It worked for this guy:

A redneck that lived next door to my grand father never went anywhere with out his shot gun. Problem was he had no muzle discipline. One day when he set it down to take a piss Granddaddy picked it up and shoved the muzle as deep into the Georgia red clay as he could and left it there as we walked away. Never saw the neighbour bring his shotgun out when we were there ever again.

yeah, but it only got a passing mention in the news because the area isn't full of "victims" that need to be rescued by the government.

it's full of people that help each other out.

hell, Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN and surrounding areas flooded the last 2 springs and it barely even made the national news. hell, it wasn't even the lead story on the local news. again- there weren't any victims, so there was no story.

No surprise there. I wonder if he can even fire that stupid thing without breaking his shoulder.

26 Confirmed Cases of Looting in Nashville Wednesday, May 05th, 2010, by Nina Cardona

Metro Police Chief Ronal Serpas says some looting has followed the weekend’s flood, but in all he’s pleased with what he considers a low number of cases for a city of this size.

There have been 26 confirmed cases of looting so far. At least two people have been arrested. Serpas says the police department will continue working in 12-hour shifts for the next few days. That puts more officers than usual on duty at night.

in case people asking about the flood weren't being ridiculous, there was a nearly biblical rainfall at the end of April in central and west Tennessee.

I believe one meteorological accounting said they received their entire usual year's worth of rainfall in about 12 hours. It was their 100 year flood.

I was actually trapped there at a convention on the southeast side of Nashville.

Sure was, destroyed near everything I owned. (Thankfully the Miata was with me on higher ground.) She'd have been under 6' of water if she'd been in the garage.

I'd like the point out that that picture circulated after Katrina with the title "how to stop looting in New Orleans," but for the record two of the guys who were helping clear the house the first week were open-carrying pistols.

I can't really say why there wasn't much looting in Nashville, but there wasn't. The way the community looked after each other was astounding.

I was at a convention too, at the Marriott by the airport.
