Nice idea, but I think it would require recalculating the current champion, looking at all the post counts, every time someone posts. Lotta overhead.

Maybe just have it update every time someone looks at the top postwhores list? That way if a heated competition starts it will still be fairly up-to-date
(Although I've never done anything with Django and I don't know what limitations might prevent this)

Tim, the top two are more than 2000 posts ahead of everybody else so you only have to know two names. They are two whole Dorks ahead.
