Florida State students? Surely, sir, you aren't confusing that second rate daycare with The University of Florida?

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of the show Weeds.

You know, you could be right on that. They are all second rate schools after University of Miami.

Dunno, you were just singing the praises of weed grown by the UF grad students. Maybe botany just isn't something you go to Miami for.

Keep going south, right where the glades start. Golden Gate is really the Green Gate. The pot gets grown there, and everything else gets flown in on crop dusters or brought up the glades by boat. Then it all goes right up the middle of the state to skip the interstates.

The Francis Marion up here has the same problem but on a smaller scale. It seems the Feds use infrared cameras in night overflights to ID weed, it has a different heat signature than the surrounding normal flora.

The worst thing recently was mobile meth labs; it seems some of the local rednecks got the idea it wasn't good to cook rock at home since the smells etc alerted the 'hood. So they started going out in the middle of the woods with mobile meth labs in the car. They'd cook some off way out in the middle of nowhere but there would usually be someone standing guard.

^ What Curmudgeon said. My brother used to fly Cessnas for a county sheriffs dept who were scoping out weed plots. It works. Growers gave up on big plots and started planting a few here few there, but still not effective if they wanna look hard enough.

County drug task force nailed my neighbor 4 houses down w/ thermal imaging, spotted excessive heat from grow lights in his attic and garages. Street value was $250K IIRC but he got off on probation and fines, word had it he supplied all the 'prominent' folks in town. He should have lost his house to forfeiture too but didn't. If that was me I'd still be wearing soap-on-a-rope.
