Today was time for another first during our mariage, we went out together...
... to the local pick'n'pull to find some parts for her Cherokee. Didn't get the big parts we wanted (passenger side fender, inner fender and bumper) but managed to find a couple of small bits to improve the interior appearance.
My wife wants to go to the one near us, but we never have the time.
I have taken the wifey out to pick-n-pulls before. She even helps out...
If women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

My wife used to go with me all the time. My daughter spec'd out her "new" 1972 Datsun B110 from there - Toyota rims, newer seats, etc, etc.
But now there are no junkyards you can enter and browse around near me that I know of. We used to have fun. We'd take a machete in case we found snakes.

Hmmm. I need to try this. The truck needs stuff all the time. She loves cars, but this might be a big stretch for her.

We were at the pick and pull this weekend after we dun' blowed up the ChumpCar's motor during the final hour of the first 7 hour race. As we pull into the yard, there is a homely looking chick with her top off and only a bra on sun-tanning in the back of some beat 80's domestic pickup while presumably her husband/boyfriend was in the yard pulling parts.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at the glorious amounts of redneck and white trash being displayed at the same time.
