Ok I have a new pet peeve.

    Leaves in my garage.

Every time I leave my garage door open to work or errr vent the place out :)

I get leaves blowing in from the street/neighbours tree.

Any ideas? I'm think a piece of weather stripping or something to stop them from being pushed in.

The kid who swings in it would never talk to me again.

1 - Electric leaf blower providing constant breeze across the doorway?? (Would help cool the room down too during the long hot summer (if that ever happens..))

2 - Keep the garage door closed...
(Do you have a side door you can open for ventilation??)

    3 - Move?? just kidding...

I actually installed a bathroom vent. Last year to help clear the air.

Stupid fuel cells, leaky diffs and so on :)

I do have a side door, but dont use it very often.

    How about a laser system?

    Andre,

You get leaves, I get scorpions...... Not as many as leaves....

    You can keep them.

    I'll stick with sweeping.

do a google for "garage door screens". There are a number of options available that can keep the leaves out, provide some ventilation and privacy too if you want...

Haha something else to drive through, but nice idea.

In the winter with the old garage I used to have a roll of plastic.

The wind swirls around my garage and brings leaves in, but they always scoot along the floor. So, when it gets too bad, I just lay a 2x6 across the doorway and it's high enough to keep them out.

Just tried that. Nice screen, looked sturdy & used local sourced conduit for weight. It even had an opening passageway to walk through.

My install seemed to work pretty well for a day or two. Then an unexpected gust came up while I was in the house recycling some beer. I came out and the local sourced weight conduit was sitting on the back of one of my cars! The wind picked it and the screen up higher than I would have expected. Not good!

I gave the whole set, including the conduit to the Goodwill Thrift Store. Now I'm back to the leaf blower.
