Oops! You forgot Mexico! They are also called merican. If it could ever happen in today's car world, a vehicle built totally and completely in Mexcio with Mexican parts would be 100% merican according to the sticker. The actual wording on the sticker is precentage of NORTH AMERICAN CONTENT. In fact, I took great joy in reminding some of my Buy merican friends that the Chevy Silverado production in Mexico as well several other merican brands all over North America was halted when they couldn't get parts from Japan after the earthquake.

I did forget Mexico, thanks Rupert.

Yeah, it is kind of funny/sad to see some people swearing they would never buy anything but an American car, when many of the cars given that name have more than half of their components made or assembled outside the United States.

I had one guy telling me how great American made wheels were compared to the crap made in China. As it happened, I was having a tire change odon on my Pontiac and was able to point out the 'Made in China' cast on the inside of my stock wheels. Shut him up for at least 30 seconds whiule he tried to think up some rationalization for it.

Was talking to a guy in Mexico who has the same problem we have in Canada. Sub-assemblies for our cars are actually made in Canada and Mexico, but if you want to buy those parts in those countries, they cost double what they do in the US.

Tell me more about this 'free' trade thing again.....
