I am selling my 1998 Porsche Boxster 986 2.5L for $4000

Great car in very good condition except for the engine that recently failed (cylinder liner crack). It's a common issue with those engines.

The engine might be rebuildable or, ideally, the car is ready for a swap.

Other than the engine, the rest is strong and the car got a lot of new OEM parts.

Good project car if you get another engine to put in it, or rebuild this one.

Feel free to contact me if you have any question.

4000$

Sunny with palm trees and mountains in the back. Union 76 station. I'm guessing southwest

Sorry guys. I'm in SoCal

I'm still trying to decide if I want to let it go or not. It would be a cool trackday car project for sure but I'm already dealing with my open wheel formula and my shifter kart.

At the same time I just came back from a POC event at Fontana Speedway and saw so many great track Boxsters with different engines in them. Very tempting...

So this is a not ATL car, that has to be worth something!?

Sorry, what does ATL stand for already?

Atlanta. It seems to be the epicenter of cheap desirable RUSTY cars, and the majority of the interesting cars posted here are from ATL

Fair enough.

This has been discussed enough to have become a GRM meme of sorts.

Haha! I see... No, it's a SoCal car and there is no rust. We don't see much water here as you know.

Thanks. I just edited the title to include the price, and edited the OP to put the price on the first line.

If anyone is around and interested to see the car, it's currently at PS Racing in Burbank.

If I had Boxter money I might be interested in it. How many miles are on the car?
