NMNA.  $3500.

The ad reads like a scam hook though.  Thoughts?

I drove a 79 LTD sedan from 1986 to 2000. These are the first year of the panther platform.

Some things I recall: last year for the C4 transmission. Mine had a 2.26:1 rear end ratio. The Variable Venturi carb was junk. This car has the same hubcaps that mine did so likely also has the same size 14 inch wheels.

P71 sway bars, 15 inch wheels with some comp TA tires, and some good shocks made a big difference in the handling.

While it was heavy for the time, 3700 lbs is no big deal now.

I had a few engines. My final version had a Holly carb, performer intake, competition cam, roller rockers, ported E7 heads, headers, dual exhaust, some ignition upgrades, and more. Still a slug with the tall rear gears, although a wide ratio gear set in the C4 helped.

It got totalled and I sold it. I wish I had the drive train; I heard that it ended up being owned by a hoarder who never did anything with it.

No bites at $3500, relisted for $3,000.  I blew my budget refurbishing a motorglider, otherwise it would be in my garage.
