Hey guys, I've got a free garage spot and my car bucket list isn't getting any shorter so...

Thought this crowd would be a good place to put feelers out for a fun weekend driver. Top of my list consists of NA/NB Miata, AW11/SW20 MR2, maybe a nice Camaro/Mustang. I'm open to a lot, even oddball stuff like old Celicas or DSMs. Mechanical condition is worth more to me than cosmetics - I'd like something I can rip around in without much concern for reliability or maintenance, as I've already got a project car. A somewhat ratty car that someone refreshed for autocross would be ideal. I'm also partial to RWD.

Location: Houston, TX. Willing to travel to Dallas/Austin/SA.

"without much concern for reliability or maintenance" plus "fun" leads to an obvious "answer."

I would look for an RSX-S. They are cheap to maintain and can easily make 220whp with bolt-ons and a tune.

You can have all three of these beauties for $5k! Come get 'em! But, to get that price you have to take all three and pay in cash. Like... right now.

Maybe a bit outside your area, but for $2900, you could save some money and do a fly and drive for this nice Miata M-Edition

If you are open to some of the bigger cars like camaros and mustangs...I have been stalking Infiniti G35's. 4 door, manual trans, nobody wants them. $3500-$5k. Fits a different slot in the garage/bucket list but I figure if I've been considering a big cruiser for a weekend car, someone else might too. I don't know how they drive yet but it seems like they should be competent on track and back roads. Bit big for autocross.
