I am helping a friend with an MGB project, car was a drag racing project with a small block, powerglide and Ford 9" rear. We pulled the motor and powerglilde and are going to put an LT1 and t56 manual transmission in it. Picked up a manual transmission Z28 motor over the weekend, but need to find an older t56 (non-LS) version that has the proper input shaft for the LT1 motor. Anyone have one that is in decent condition? We know they are not cheap, but hard to determine the condition when used and hate to spend $$$$ and then have to send it to a transmission shop for more $$$.
