Pretty sure this is why my car won't start all of a sudden, but I don't really want to pay the price for a new one. Anyone have one kicking around? I'm in 94804.

IIRC you can use a 1.8 one as well. Different tech but physically interchangeable. The adjustment range is a bit different but I believe you can make it work.

Do a wiggle test on the wires. The first few inches of wiring are far more error-prone than the actual CAS. Also, check your car for codes.

Thanks Keith

I'm getting code 2, and the connector has the right voltage with the key on, so I'm reasonably sure it's the CAS. It's been intermittently failing which has made troubleshooting very annoying.

This is one case where Facebook is really great - I've already gotten 3 or 4 offered to me there.

I bet I have one of dubious quality, but just pay shipping and it's yours.

Thanks Robbie! I got one from Facebook, but if it doesn't work I'll be in touch.
