No testing tonight I just got home I will be on during the day tomorrow and tomorrow night. Lets test at spools track with the BRZ's tomorrow night. I will set things up so cars can get in that have been moded but I will limit the tires and the PP

Dean, I just checked and you can set the room to no tuning and still adjust the brake balance.

Dean, paint, tires, and brake bias will not prevent a car from entering a "no mods" room. Wheels will unless they are the standard size.

The step from SH to CS slows the BRZ about 2.5 seconds per lap at Madrid. That seems fine for series HC. See what you think.

Air, for GT500, changing from RH to SS slows the car about 2.6 seconds per lap which seems like too much for the top series. Dropping PP by 20 slowed the lap about 1.3 seconds which seems reasonable. PP is probably the best method for GT. For the rotating SSS series, it will have to be one tire step.

In reply to Argo1:

I have +2 wheels on the s2000 and have the room set to prohibited tuning. Unless it defaulted to standard size or stock wheels I didn't have any problems entering the track.

After a few laps I'm 1s quicker in the Frisbee than the s2000

In reply to nicksta43:

Correct. Plus sized wheels are allowed. I tried with a couple different cars to make sure it wasn't a glitch with a particular car.

Has anyone found if there is any performance difference with plus size wheels?

Mid 1:21s for me. After tuning the car is doing everything I ask it to. I suspect it's a bit heavy and not as nimble as some will be. So that's 3 sec. slower than Argo's "sloppy" lap.

The '13 Toyota 86GT is not eligible. It has upgrade sport suspension. All the others will be at 413pp after an oil change.

OK, are we going to race or just test tonight? At Madrid, right?

Depending on the croud that shows up but the plan is to run reset race at 9.00 eastern then a 10 min qual followed by a couple 3 or 4 lap sprints in the BRZs with a revers grid for the 2nd race. After that i was hoping to test the gt 500 cars . I dont have a s2000 yet so maybe try that.

I won't be practicing tonight since I will be traveling but I will share my sloppy 18 in the GT500 car for reference:

http://youtu.be/1HlcuKU4CQo

I have to drive that car just because of the sound it makes. Only the Zonda comes close. There are two other cars that are potentially faster and a number that can lap about the same as the HSV. With a few more tuning tweaks and a better driver there is probably about another .7 seconds to be had.

Does the HSV even count since it's technically not based on a production car? Not that I care, just asking incase it's brought up later in the series.

Hmm.... Dunno. It ran in the real series and we ran it last time. Whatever the group decides I'm OK with.
