I managed a 1:33.7 lap this morning in the time trial banzai crash 19 out of 20 tries mode. Not a perfect lap, so there is time still to be had. So far with a race setup and other cars on track I am lucky to get in the 1:37s. This is a tricky track made even more tricky by group A cars.

I am having a major gout issue in my right ankle making practice challenging at the moment not to mention real driving. Hoping this clears up and I can get back to some practice.
I have no aliments to share, but I completely forgot that I will be in KC this Wednesday. We’ll need an alternate host. Volunteers?

OK, OK, I know... too late.
I just want to know how having one of these makes it so you can't drive:
Back in the GT days we would discuss things and come up with options and suggestions were pondered by the masses and then just do what ever Air told us to do.
I took advantage of the extra week to modify my rig a bit. I just built it out of scrap wood from my scrap pile and the only adjustment is that the seat is on sliders.
Turns out my pedals were a bit too close to the wheel. Could either have my legs and feet feel right but have my arms straight or have the reach to the wheel just right but have my legs crammed in. Today I moved the pedals forward an inch and the wheel back an inch. Haven't tried it out yet, gotta put PS4, TV and wheel back in place. Also raised the floor 3/4" in relation to pedals and seat. . Should be more comfy now.
It seems that the AI's are fairly manageable at 85/25. At those settings the faster GT1 cars lose a lot of time when they catch up to traffic. The key for me so far is to not take too many chances with the backmarkers even if it means slowing down to their speed for a corner.
I'm having an issue in the second half of the race where my braking suffers. Tire temps, brake temps, tire pressures all all good, but something happens where I need to brake earlier and more gently for T1. Experimenting with brake balance changes to see if it can be dialed out on the fly.
Brakes to cold?

Nope, not that although I do have my brake ducts nearly closed to keep the temps up.
I think it is just the tires wearing out and having less grip. Temps and pressures stay consistent.

After further review and taking a few days away from the game, it seems I got a bit lucky and got a bunch of scrubs for AIs that time. Most often there are a few AI ringers in the bunch, sometimes four of them. I take back my fairly manageable comment.

It really seems to vary quite a bit and I'm not sure why. When we ran together last week the pole lap from the AI was a 1:35.0, but in the couple short sessions I've run since then the best I've seen is a 1:38. Exact same room settings both times so I don't know where the difference is coming from.

BTW I was reading on GTPlanet about PC2 and it’s looking like they have stopped development. So, probably no more expansions. They are guessing they might be working on the next release (e.g. PC4), and that may not be until the next gen of consoles!
I think there is still a lot in PC2, and I suspect they will do maintenance updates, but I did hope for at least another round (year) of season pass releases.

I saw Ian Bell’s comment about the new/next game. Something to the extent of “better than what anyone has done or is doing anywhere” or something like that. I hope he isn’t setting up for a let down. Also, remember the first 3-4 months after release are considered beta testing.
