I've got a 1986 Nighthawk 450. The previous owner bent the shift lever pretty good. Does anyone know of an aftermarket shifter that would fit, and still clear the engine cover and exhaust? Or if there is another bike with the same shifter, (correct me if I'm wrong but I think the cb400 was the same basic motor).

If it's not completely hosed, you can pretty easily remove it and bend it back in a vice, or hell, even with your hands sometimes. They're pretty soft. Unless it's FUBAR, I wouldn't count it out quite yet.

nah, it's got a pretty good crack in it, and the splines (on the shift lever) are wasted.

I did a search on BikeBandit for a 450 Honda Nighthawk application and found nothing. When I said show all, no specific bike, but put in Honda shift lever I got this:

I think that bike is the CB450SC. Assuming it is, I did a cross reference on the part number and I found this:

I had to clean it up a bit, I couldn't just cut and paste it here for some reason. But once you figure out how to search Motogrid, it's easy to figure out and read on their site.
Once you find your part number by bike model (using the left side of their search box), then do a search by part number on the right side. All bikes that use that part will come up.
