I must be one of the very few who didn't really care for the SV650. I had both an '02 and an '01 S. I didn't enjoy either one of them. My wife's starter bike was a Buell Blast. And it was a Blast! I had a ton more fun on that Blast than I did on either of the SVs.
Hers was purple. Looked just like this one.
Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the SV? I have made a series of small maintenance updates to mine, and it has become progressively better each time.
I just didn't get in to it. I didn't like the feel of the naked one and I didn't like the riding position of the S. The motor was.. meh... I just didn't find either of mine to be zingy or confidence-inspiring. It didn't push my buttons.
