That shovelhead looks to be pretty close to a 79 FLH. I would venture to say that's what a 79 FLH would look like today after everything that could fall off did fall off. The phunny thing about that bike is that almost everything on it is completely stock, just with the stuff that fell off missing. A few differences, like the chromed swingarm and the apehangers. Note the spring over the rear axle holding the (replaced but same banana style) caliper up. Without that, the caliper bushings wear out in about 2K miles and start riding on the brake disk. Eventually, the disk will cut the pins holding the caliper together in half and the caliper falls off when you're trying to stop some day. We used to just use a SBC valve spring wedged in there until someone came out with that fancy spring on a bracket. That bike is from HD's nadir. AMF had raped them for all it could and there was nothing left.
