On the punky buellster the bike is so loud you can barely hear anything after riding on the freeway for an hour. I decided I like my hearing and the bike sounds better with ear protection. I would use foam plugs but that is a bit to elitist for me, I just take a piece of tissue paper wad it up and put it in my ear. I can toss them out when I'm done and if I forget to wear them I'm a bathroom away from a replacement. I can't wait to get the punky back up and terrorizing the neighborhood, off the rev limiter it sounds like a gun or something.

What are my options for a more permanent (not disposable) hearing protection? Nothin crazy expensive but i do understand that its gonna cost a little more then $0.25 earplugs.

Between the bike and yard work and other stuff i feel i would be doing myself a favor.

Whats your guys thoughts or experiences
