i'd like to make my own pocketbike. i've got a spare chainsaw, little kid's bike, and stiff cardboard tube. i've also got a load of wiring, and a bunch of lighting pulled from a volvo 760.

measure twice, cut once, and take pictures!

You might be better off selling the chainsaw & lighting and buying one of those chinese bike engine kits, though. Then you get the mounts, a gas tank, proper gearing, and a generator.

I see what you're thinking, but I have two questions. 1.) How are you going to power it? 2.) Isn't it a little dangerous to mount a chainsaw on a pocket-bike?

    Do it and take pictures!

Glue it together however you can, name it the econobike, and drive it into a wall full speed.

It will likely stop then, and you won't have to worry about it.
