Will a 7" car headlight fit in a 7" motorcycle headlight shell?

    I found a style that I like - the tri-bar.

here it is for $99 http://www.cb750cafe.com/parts.php?id=46

and here is the same thing for $39 http://www.wpsracing.com/tribarhebu.html

I used one of the smaller ones (5 inch?) on mine. Direct wired to the alternator, works fine.

The pattern of the light might be less than idea, but I don't drive my bike at nigh normally, so I don't worry.

Yes - there are a lot of Miatas running around with motorcycle headlights, actually...

It should fit. I've used the smaller ones, 5-1/4?, on Dr.Linda's Sportster before. However, they don't last very long as the bike puts a lot more vibration on it. After 2 car headlights in <1K miles, probably about 500 miles, actually, we bought the replacement bulb set at a HD dealer. It was a shell that a modern halogen bulb fit in, like the one in Keith's link but in a box that says "Harley-Davidson" on it.

Of course, your bike may not put as much strain on the headlight as a solid frame mounted V twin.
