My muffler has completely come apart after doing a recent 600mile ride up to the gold country. I had a hell of a time riding to small towns on the little buell blast but I'll be damned if I didn't kill both the muffler and the rear tire.

The muffler is a 1.75" in and needs to be about 20" long. I need something that is quiet and cheap. I fired up the bike with a straight pipe and it is way too loud. I've pissed off enough people that I'd like to go low profile. Buell had the great idea to put the exhaust on the bottom of the bike so if you hit any bump at speed you bottom out so I'd love something compact and short.

I'm thinking about looking for a cycle salvage or go by a local shop that has a pile of bikes and say what I need. Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.

There are several Buell Blast mufflers on eBay right now; one with a buy it now of $125, one with a buy it now of $160 that looks to be brand new, and a third with a starting bid of $20 with about three days left on the auction...you never know, if no one else bids on it you could maybe get it for cheap.

Make freinds with the parts guy at your local HD dealer. He'll sell someone a pipe for it and slide him a few $$ to tell them you'll buy the OE unit.
