There are a lot of choices out there, and also a lot of mixed feedback on those choices. It's really confusing. Any preferences here on armored riding jeans, or ones to avoid?

If you want jeans if you want armor go leather over pants.

Draggins are made here in the USA and they do seem to last well but the again i try not to wear them unless I'm riding. My pairs 5+ years old. My last two pair went out and back from Mass to Yellowstone and a few other long trips there comfy.

I had a set of Cortech Mod Jeans. They've got leather reinforcements and armor in the knees. And I was unlucky enough to end up crash testing them - only a few small bruises and no scrapes on my legs. The outer denim over one knee was totally shredded, but the leather behind it was fine. I definitely give them a thumbs up.

My brother and I wear Shift jeans. Not sure what model as they are packed away for the winter. Testimonial: My brother dumped his CBR1000 at 80+mph and walked away with one half inch square hole in the thigh. One. That's it.

Mom bought me Tuff Skins from Sears when I was 10 years old....warrantied for Life. I wonder if the dragginjeans are made of the same indestructible stuff

I got some Icon recon off of eBay for $36. They don't have any real protection but have some stretch panels that make them really comfortable. I am looking for some with real protection over the winter.

I've got a couple of pairs of Cortechs. They are kevlar reinforced in the knees, seat, and hips. They also have hidden zippers(on each leg) which turn the pants into shorts, once you get to where you're going.

I've had a pair of the Draggin Jeans before, not bad but probably not a lot better than regular jeans. Definitely need armor.

I think I'm going to try a pair of the Sliders 4.0's from Comp Acc.

I've got some of these and also like the leather reinforcement that other jeans lack.
