Never owned a bike before, but for some reason the vintage bmw stuff would be at the top of the list:

Uhm... sorta new here, and I don't know how to add photos. And judging from the other photos, there aren't too many desert rats out there in GRM land. But since you asked, the CRF450X (my avatar is the 250X, which is a bit more realistic for me). Word on the street... er... dirt road is that that new model is going to be fuel injected.

One of these:
MV Agusta 750 America, the "real" thing, before MV became a ressurected brand.
And this one to go places:
HPN modified BMW R80/R100GS - HPN are the people who built the Dakar bikes for BMW.
And this one to complete my collection of crazy BMW stuff - Magni-framed BMW R100. Which kinda ties in nicely with the first entry in the list, because Arturo Magni used to work for MV Agusta.

I love RC51s! What a sound they make. I'm just enamored with high-performance V-twins (sorry potatoes).

I just about walked into a parked car the other day listening to one ride by.

I think that they're butt ugly, but I'm willing to look past such trivial matters.

I've ridden one of those. Wrote about it on my old blog while back. I'm not into fours as a rule, but there's something about that bike - hell, MVs in general - that just has gravitas.
There was a David E. Davis column several years ago about the moment in your life where you're the coolest you'll ever be. His was hopping into a Jag roadster (literally: hand planted on the windshield frame, feet over closed doors and into the footwell) with an international stewardess he'd just picked up after a transatlantic flight for a night on the town. Mine was probably on that MV (or later in the weekend on the Hailwood rep). All downhill from there...

i really dig that naked goldwing. is that a stock tank or has it been reshaped lower in the rear? my next project is going to be a naked goldwing.
oh, and the big front tire look (exile, etc) makes me feel like lesley when she watches dirty jobs. or something.

I love Urals so much. Something about a 2wd sidecar rig is just so right.
