Would it be possible to get a used electronic ignition system off ebay and use it to convert my 73 CL125? What do I need to look to make sure it will work with my Honda?
Also, if I wanted todo an engine swap on the 125 which engines would work best with this bike.

Dyna used to make a kit. Many XR's share same parts later units had it
I think the 185 (not 175) engines can be swapped into that frame without much work. As always, YMMV.
Like 44 says later versions of that engine were electronic ignition so a homebrew system is easy to do.
