You know, I'm a pretty fair big-track MX rider. Gimme nice jumps, whoops and berms that flow into and out of each other and I'm happy. This, however, would not make me happy. If I entered the event on Oct 23rd, the soonest they would retrieve me from that rock pit would be about November 2nd, and I would have broken at least seven ankles by then.

Looks like a wicked hoot to watch, though.

Ya it's fun last winter we had two a month....I was toast untill April. Mostly due to my bike having just 3 inches of travel in the rear and 6 up front. But it was state of the art in 68.... Hell i hadn't been on that bike in three years before that but once or twice.

Sometime you got to come up and ride SouthWick Mx338. I've riden there twice once on a Maco 490 sand Spider and once on a 74 yamaha MX175. it was a ball.

We have those up here, and the enduro guys love them, but I don't get it.

I guess it's to enduro, like supercross is to motocross.

yeah, a true dirtbike might be a bit of a better all around choice, but I get the feeling a trials bike would be more fun and more challenging and because it's a bit lighter than a traditional dirtbike of similar displacement, might be easier to pick up when I dump it in the rock pit every other lap my first time out
