So i have been curiously looking at the GG Quad for quite some time now. (no, not another project or lust, just cool)

    GG Quad page

Anyway, i think it would be a blast to drive, kinda like a bike/ quad/ miata. Im real curious to see where this company will be in a few years. It could be a replacement for the Goldwing/ old timer crowd if changed a bit and could be a Can Am rival.

Legality is what bugs me. Apparently its tricky to make street legal in the USA. Bugs me a ton cause its such a cool product. I feel that since you sit on it like a bike and is bike like it should be registered as a bike/trike.

Also, knowing the GRM crowd i know it could be build in a GRM fashion in a month or so. Its essentially a mini- locost or a big quad...depending how you look at it.

Anyhow whats your take on these. Im a fan and would love to drive/ own one

Trike style bikes always bug me. How do you take a corner quickly if you cant lean? Do you hang over the inside edge like those crazy side car race motorcycle passengers?

4 wheels +most of a busa? Sounds like a hoon monster to me. I say do it, before reason has a chance to speak with you.

That's the advantage of the Can-Am - since it has three wheels it's licensed as a motorcycle. With two wheels on the front and one on the rear it appears to be pretty stable, unlike the Reliant Robin.

I once saw some guys road racing on quads - they basically put sticky tires on them and hit the track. It was pretty impressive.

Does anyone know IF they are street legal anywhere in the states? I've seen pics of them in the EU on the street but never here. Anyone know for sure???

Since they have four wheels, chances are they are classified as an automobile everywhere in the US, and since they're new vehicles they would also have to meet all the safety regulations for a car. So, I doubt they're street legal.

I know I've seen that quads are street legal in AZ. Don't know about elsewhere.

    South Dakota.

But there's no point. Four wheels need a steering wheel.
