Anyone know anything about this model? There is one on CL locally, and it really appeals to me. I like the Harley thing and my friends all ride Hogs, but I don't exactly fit the "biker" look you know? The T-Sport seems like an anti-Harley while still being a Harley. Plus, I usually tour two-up with my wife, so I need bags and a back seat and some power and a windshield would be nice. The price/year ratio seems really desirable right now...not too old or too expensive. This is the first Harley that would get me off a Honda, but will it start and run every time?

I had to look up what a T Sport was. That's a Superglide with a windshield and a little faring. Twincam motor. Those have been good bikes. Plenty of power. From what I read on the boards (I'm a Evo guy myself), there's a few issues with some years worse that others, but no big deal, really. If you change anything like the cams or pipes or even the air cleaner, you need to retune the ECM if it's fuel injected. There's plug-in tuners for it or you can bring it to a dyno shop. Cam chain tensioners need to be paid attention to. Some years run hotter than others, but if you get the maps fattened up, it isn't a problem. 2006-2008 seem to complain the most about that. What year is it? They changed the EFI system at one point and I don't know what year that happened, but the newer one is easier to deal with, I think.

Nice bikes. Harley's take on sport touring. I'd ride it. Whenever I get around to dressing my XL, it will end up looking much like a T-Sport.

If they were still available, new, last November, I would have gotten one, instead of a Super Glide. The T has a little bit higher suspension, for better cornering clearance, than the rest of the Dyna family bikes.
