Was wondering if anyone out there has a 45t 6-Bolt sprocket for an xs650. This is going on my XS500. I'm replacing the current 17t front with an offset 18t sprocket on the front so I need to go up to a 45t in the rear to bring it close to stock gearing. I first ran the stock 34t 650 sprocket on it and it was way slow so I went to a 39t but it's still a dog outta the hole. I'm familiar with gearing and I've already figured that I'm running a 2.29:1 gear ratio and with the new sprockets I'll be close to the stock 2.62:1. I have money if you have the sprocket.

I just did a whole lot of sprocket huntin' and I found that the 6 bolt XS650 sprocket is only available in a limited number of sizes. Here's JT's page for them: http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/2543 If you look through their listings you may be able to find something that can work.

For instance I was going the other way, I have a 4 bolt XS500 rear wheel on my XS650 and was having a helluva time finding a sprocket to fit that was small enough to get the gearing near the stock 2:0-1. I wound up with one from, IIRC, a CB550T which had the correct center hole and hub bolt circle but the bolt holes were too small (1omm, I needed 12mm). I had the holes reamed (sprocket steel is VERY hard!) mounted it and it works like a champ.
