Not nearly as common parts wise as the Hondas or Yamahas.

    Thats all I know.

I've owned a KZ650 4 times (yes same one! sold it to freinds and bought it back) also had a KZ750 LTD.

Year dependant problems that creap up are starter clutch slippage. The real problem with this is i belive 81 and up as they are CDI equiped and electric start only. Other problems you might run it to is gearing. stcok gearing was great for around town, my ltd could carry the front wheel 50 ft but on the trip out to yellowstone it was reving out the whole way.

Basicly great bikes for there age.

So just how interchangeable are the 750's? I have an 83 550 that needs a new engine and looking at prices, well, seems kinda silly to not go for bigger...

K thx. Research has ben a little slow on this due to other concerns (i.e. Lack of money and trying to get the jag ready for two track events at the end of the month).
