I am contemplating putting a larger engine in the MB5 this summer. I like being able to get to work on it, but I would really like to be faster than a bicyclist....

This conversion is on my mind Honda H100

100cc in a smaller frame should be fun. With the right gearing, I should be able to top 70ish. There is a Honda H100A engine for sale on Ebay.co.uk, and I have already e-mailed him for the shipping costs.

    Comments? Concerns? Peanut Gallery?

I have no idea why I even remember this but a few years back I found chineese knock offs of that 100cc motor brand new on ebay for dirt cheap. Did a little research on them and they are supposed to be a pretty exact replica as far as mounting and parts sharing so if they are still floating around out there it might be a good way to go.

Yamaha did that in 1967 or so. They stuffed a 100cc twin into the same frame as the 55 and 80cc bikes. It went like stink, but I almost killed myself on that thing more times than I can remember. It thought it was a unicycle.

Shoot, there are kits out there to run a CT90 or 110 engine out to 175cc. That will bolt right into a Z50 frame.

Several years ago, DIRT BIKE put nitrous on a Honda CT70. They said it was a blast; point it at a hill and hit the horn button (they used that to run the NOx) and hang the hell on.

H100 sounds like the way to go. I think I'd want a CR80 gearset/clutch too while everything was apart.

I already have the CR80 6 speed. It works wonders. The guy on E-bay wouldn't ship it to the US. Still working on finding a running condition engine.
