Where do you find them? I saw one on craigslist, but I found it on the day that it was happening and I had other plans. Where would I look? I am looking for a local one (within 2 hours drive of Cleveland). I know the AMA Mid Ohio one is in a few months, but there has to be more. I would prefer one with more vintage stuff then just Harleys. Not looking for anything in particular, I want to get a vintage (1960s – early 70s) bike to play with but I am not 100% sure what direction to go in. I am trying to avoid having to drive to bike shops to look for flyers on corkboards. Web sites would be best.

    Thanks, Eddie

They can be hard to find. In my area at least, motorcycle swap meets tend to be 98% old rusty Harley parts and 2% leather vests. Check to see if there's a chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America or Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club in your area; I know the local chapters of both clubs in Minnesota hold shows and swaps (in fact, the annual VJMC Minnesota show is tomorrow afternoon.) www.antiquemotorcycle.org http://www.vikingmc.org/ www.vjmc.org http://www.vjmc-mn.com/

Not sure what I want right now. I see some really sweet bikes online (wrenchmonkey, brat style) , but I have a hard time seeing the potential in a stock bike.

I saw two bikes outside a restaurant the other day, one a restored vintage bike, the other a really nice looking custom with GSXR forks, late model aluminum swingarm and other mods. After about 3 mins of looking at them I realized they were both KZ1000's. The custom still had the stock tank bit was shaved of all badges.

I really just want to poke around some place and see if something jumps out at me. I was going to go with a CB350 or CB750 just because they look like they would be good 1st vintage bikes.
