I'm the same way but was a little embarrased to be the first one to post something along the lines of: "What is that and give us more details fast!"

It looks great. I like the displacement and style.

I need a basic outline of where it started from so I can build one just like it

Very nice. We need a few more posts like this to start taking back this forum from the pedal powered nerds.

Thanks guys! Sorry to leave you hangin!

Bike is a 1983 Honda VT500 FT Ascot. I removed everything unnecessary, heavy, or imo ugly. I've added superbike bars w/bar end mirror, harley sportster headlight, mini tach, bicycle speedo. I've rejetted and added a custom fit Uni filter. I also stripped the wheels so they're all silver.

It's already changed a bit since these pics... Everything I have is a work in progress!

    Cheers

Put it up in the readers rides section, so it can keep my Nighthawk company :).

I've always wanted one of these. They were not a great sales success, but I just love'em. Still lookin.

I had one of those for a couple of years. GREAT bike, typical Honda, pretty powerful for it's size. I always wished it was just a little bit bigger to fit me better. A really underappreciated bike IMO. BTW, i think bikes look better w/ fenders, and they're on there for a reason!

You really changed the look of that Ascot I think the Ascot was one of my least favorite bikes until I saw this. Good job
