I found this link in the story about the California built electric bike. If they actuly pull this off it will be a big moment in electric vehicle history, I'm sceptical, but I wish them well.

Would be neat if it happened. Though I'm not sure why they wouldn't just roll it into the main GP as a separate class.

Back from the dead! Looks like it really happened and a documentary movie is going to be released! Zero emissions and maximum speed. The future of motor sport has arrived. A film by Mark Neale.

TTXGP ran a class at Infineon this past weekend, during the AMA round. 10 bikes total, with Shawn Higbee qualifying on pole with a 1:56:xxx. Next closest was a 1:59, followed by a group of riders in the 2:09-13 range.

In comparison, the other three main classes running were:

600cc supersport kids were at 1:40

600cc hot rod sportbikes were at 1:38

    1000cc superbikes were at 1:35

That seems respectable for so much new technology and small scale constructors, let the Japanese big 4 jump into this ring and they will catch up in no time.
