Took a nice ride to mark the official end of summer yesterday. Weatherman said 0% chance of rain and sunny and 75. Left under darkening skies, and within 20 minutes we pulled under a nice awning to avoid heavy rain showers. Doh! But we ate lunch in a great little dive bar, and the rain passed quickly. Stayed cool the rest of the day, but that makes wearing the leathers easier so no complaints. Nice ride out through Western PA and into West Virgina.
Hit Wheeling Island. Wow. A warehouse full of unhappy people chain-smoking and pumping money into slot machines. Why are they connected to the slot machines? Is it a form of mind control? Do they get a shock if they go into cardiac-arrest? Some form of symbiotic relationship that I didn't understand.
Left there and hit Cabela's on the way home. I am not a hunter, but they have tons of cool stuff for ATV's and trailers. And stuff you just don't see anywhere else! I ended up with a 4000w generator for $250! (My power goes out constantly and I can't afford to miss Sons of Anarchy)
Now starts the fall riding season, which is awesome here in Western PA. Can't wait!
