Got on 87 north from 84 west, headed up the Hudson valley of NY, something was going on, traffic was at ~30mph for miles. Finally it breaks up a bit, everyone hammers to make up time, I'm in the left of two lanes doing 77 - 80 in a pickup.

Big Harley cruiser comes up behind me, not pushing but not falling back either, I step aside. NICE bike! Silver bagger, full fairing, hard bags, very low rear fender, black full face and he blisters by. Pilot was sporting Hell's Angels colors. I was doing 80 and he did a horizon job on me.

Hmmmm......

Didn't expect an Angel to riding a bagger.

It all depends on what sort of load he was transporting in those bags........

I thought the only rule in motorcycle gangs was that you had to be so tough that you needed a bunch of other men to rely on in case you got in over your head.

Remove motorcycle from that statement and it becomes 100% true.

Most of the (real) outlaws are riding dressers these days.

Last time I saw Sonny Barger, he was riding one of those George Jetson looking Victory Baggers...

Truth be told, I became good friends with a full-blooded member and he couldn't have been a nicer guy. Of course I was on his good side thank God!

And some time ago I was in a bar playing pool and 6 jacket-wearing members of another very well known "club" came in to play.

Very polite, very considerate and not at all what you'd expect.

I've heard that some of the older gangs are operating more like businesses these days. They don't want any sort of trouble on a day to day basis with regular folks, as it could affect their bottom line.
