UPDATE:
I went to see the doctor on Monday. He said what I was hoping he would say. Since I've had knee surgery before it wasn't just a shot in the dark with my self diagnosis. He said that I most likely partially tore my MCL (the tendon on the inner part of the knee) and tore some of my meniscus (the cartilage underneath the knee). He did not feel like I had a torn ACL (the tendon that runs through the middle of the knee and more or less "suspends" it above cartilage other bones, etc.) Thank God. That was my biggest worry. Going through another ACL fix would have sidelined me for a while.
The bad news is that without an MRI he can't tell for sure. An MRI costs about $2500 in this neck of the woods and I have a $1000 deductible on my insurance. This is my off season and I don't really have a grand to fork over right now. So here's to hoping he's right.
Here is the other good news. The last three weeks have felt like more of the same. Pain pain pain and did I mention it motha truckin hurt! I was finally able to start putting weight on it again about a week and a half ago when I basically just decided that I was gonna walk whether it hurt or not, but it still felt awful every day. But I decided I was gonna take the week off (I've still been working believe it or not) this week, and I progressively have felt better every single day. I genuinely believe I'm gonna be able to walk this one off. If I can just quit being stubborn and chill out a little bit.
The only other stuff I have to mention is we did get the tree job done. I was on crutches and supervising, but we got it done. I had to pay a family friend to help for a couple of days to replace the work I would have done myself but it got done and I made a little money on it none the less. Also, my career on Forza 4 has been put in high gear. :)
To anyone who has never had knee problems: be careful with your good knees. It's a slippery slope from a "bad" knee to a "had surgery" knee to a "total replacement" to a wheel chair. Be careful.
