I ran across this today, and it scared the berkeley out of me just looking at it:

2008 Suzuki B-King. Twin Turbo. Has a custom built twin turbo set up that makes 415hp and 206ft pds of torque at 22lbs of boost. The motor had been built to hold 600hp. It has Crower rods, J E pistons, Ferrera Stainless valves and Carpenter heavy valve springs. The fuel system has an SX fuel pump, filter and regulator with secondary fueling controlled by an MCXpress controller. It has a 4 to 6 over Velocity swingarm and has chrome wheels. Very fast and comfortable bike.

The bike gets looks everywhere it goes and is unlike anything most people have ever seen.

I take it in a straight line....for a 1/4 mile. Too much for road riding there

Even without the turbos, those snorkels suck so much air it messes up the rich/lean mix.

Forgive my ignorance of bikes, but would the MCXpress controller remedy that?

    Probably so.

I would guess it mainly gets ridden to the local bike night at the bar and then back home again.

I'd do it. That looks like piles of fun to me.

I don't know what an MCXpress is. I do know that on a Buell Thunderbolt with a similar set up, it sucks. It sucks too much air, it sucks water in the rain interupting the suck, squeeze, pop, patooey.

OTOH, $16,900 would buy ten bikes in my world. I'd rather have ten $1000. motorcycles rather than one $10,000 motorcycle.

^yep...I often see people with terribly expensive junk. When they catch me giving it the stink eye, they tell me how great a deal they got on it. Something is only a deal if its something you want. When they tell me they got said turd for only $xyz bucks, I say, if Im gonna spend that kinda cash, it wouldnt be on that.

The giant K&N style intake snorkels on either side of the bike. I think.

and the fact that it is too much moneys.

I'd ride it...with a throttle stop applied at about 3,000 RPM.

I'd be too terrified to crack the throttle all the way, especially if you've only got 1/4 mile to do it.

No thanks. Call me a sissy.

Those are... air filters for turbos. I'm not real sure what else you would put there.

I like the fact that the seller makes it a point to say that it's "very fast." You know, just in case you were doubting that fact.

I would have no problem riding it. I would want a dark shield so that I was not recognized (that was an ugly bike before they modified it)
