Shove a bunch of grease into the pilot bushing/bearing hole, get a bolt that snugly fits the hole, and whack with a hammer. Repack, and hit more as needed. ....pushes it right out without need for a puller. Did GRM cover this in there miracles of grease article years go? No plagiarism intended.

Wish I had remembered this one on my Mazda B2500 clutch job.
The stock pilot is a roller, which was thoroughly embedded.
I wound up using a HF slidehammer, the smaller one since it had the pair puller jaws that would fit inside the pilot hole.
Took a LOT of hard slams, in fact the center puller bolt broke at the threads, good thing I had another bolt.

Good tip, it works a charm. Wet newspaper also serves very well for this trick.

I've heard newspaper as well as crayons - haven't tried either I just ended up using a puller/slide hammer.
