I've had this happen on several older cars. My power windows make that "nails on a chalkboard" sound when they drop out from the groove in the rubber seal.

I have scraped some [dirt?] residue off the glass, and that helped.

What's the right product to lube the window seals so they don't squeak?

IIRC there's some sort of Honda silicone grease specifically for windows that's really popular amongst Miata NA/NB owners. I've successfully used SilGlide from Napa in the past.

I see amazon has some "dry" silicone. Is that good stuff?

Seems like a good description, since I don't want grease getting on anything that touches the seal.
