This year we are meeting at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Whitnall Park, and driving to Great Lakes Dragaway for some racing (or spectating). Meet and greet at 10am, cruise at 11. GLD is open until 5, with open racing all day.
Backstory....
"Having fun with cars" is a mantra I stick to. A few years ago, I decided to get a few friends together and host a cruise on Labor Day. We started out at a park, and drove to a picnic area at a state park and cooked out. It was a great time, and I decided to make it an annual thing. We've done it the last 4 years and it has been fun every time. Every year it gets a little bigger.
This year, I decided to switch things up a little. We were having some issues with Google Maps regarding the starting location we were using, and someone suggested we go to the drag strip instead of the state park (they're actually only a couple miles apart). I'm always open to suggestions, so I went with it. Hopefully I'll see some of you there!
