Sad that the $2000 Challenge is over, and now you have to wait until 2024 to experience it all again?
Here are some of our favorite photos from this year’s event to hold you over–and keep your eyes peeled for full coverage of the 2023 Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge in an upcoming issue of Grassroots Motorsports.

What is the $2000 Challenge? It’s our annual automotive festival that celebrates autocross, drag racing and ingenuity.
The real challenge is in the event's name, however, as entries are required to prepare their vehicles for less than $2000. Each of these sub-$2000 cars will compete in autocross and drag racing sessions, followed by a concours-style judging session the next day.
For those interested in seeing if more money really equals more speed, competitors are also welcome to enter cars built or prepared for more than $2000.

I'll have to sort through the pictures, but I think we might have a photo. I'll post it if I find it.

That is in fact what I came here for, too.

Lots of people try to modify their suspension to reduce body roll. Those people are dead wrong, because that thing was a total blast to drive.

Rumor has it the oil sloshed into a different dimension and the engine started knocking before drags.
In reply to maschinenbau :

I've only seen more pronounced body roll once in my life- and that was the time I watched someone 10/10 a Citroen 2cv. Slowest, yet most puckering run I've ever witnessed.
