Edelbrock Wins at Eaton TVS Supercharger Throwdown

Brian Devilbiss Runs a 9.27-Second ET and Takes the Win with Edelbrock’s E-Force R2650 Supercharger

 

TORRANCE, CA (April 10, 2019) Edelbrock, a leading manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket performance parts, added another win to its rich history of motorsports success at the EATON TVS Supercharger Throwdown in Atlanta, GA. Brian Devilbiss took home the top prize in his 2018 Ford Mustang GT equipped with an Edelbrock E-Force R2650 Stage Two kit. This system is designed for 2018-19 Ford 5.0L Coyote engines and is the latest in the line of Twin Vortices Series superchargers developed for this application.

 

The shootout took place April 4-7, during the 11th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals at Atlanta Dragway. The EATON TVS Supercharger Throwdown portion of the weekend was open to drivers of cars with late-model engines modified with any brand of TVS supercharger. In the title-deciding race, Devilbiss’ Edelbrock-equipped Mustang ran a 9.27-second quarter-mile, besting his opponent’s time of 11.90 seconds.

 

The Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger System for the 2018-2019 Ford Mustang 5.0L comes with everything needed to turn a stock Mustang GT into a street or strip monster. The TVS rotor assembly forces a massive 2.65 liters of air into the engine with every revolution, a 15-percent improvement over previous kits. The Stage One kit is 50-state emissions-legal and produces a dyno-verified 623 horsepower and 510 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels with no extra modifications required. Included with the Stage One kit is the R2650 E-Force Supercharger with the integrated DP3C dual-pass, triple-core air-to-water intercooler. Additionally, all of the required hoses, gaskets, pulleys and bolts are included to ensure that installation is quick and convenient.

 

Edelbrock’s Stage Two upgrade builds on the massive power gains of the Stage One kit by incorporating a larger air intake, a bigger 103mm throttle body (compared to 90mm on the Stage One) and inlet tube with a 113mm mass airflow sensor housing. Brian Devilbiss’ Stage Two Mustang GT was able to produce 961 horsepower and 869 ft-lbs of torque on E85 fuel.
